Ajuja possesses an extremely dairy profile and is very correct on her feet and legs.  She is also a star in the area of milk production, consistently outpacing many of our younger does in the milk bucket.  Ajuja’s milking yearling daughter by Nodaway Must B Fate, Kara-Kahl Fate Avila has freshened with a very promising mammary system. Ajuja did not get bred in 2016, but will be bred to Manny this fall. She will be moving on to a wonderful new home once bred and we are looking forward to getting a doe kid back on this cross. We are also getting back an Ajuja son by Pleasant Grove Zen Wingding, a 3/4 brother to our yearling, Akebono.  We plan to use him on three does this fall and much more next year.

A & W is very correct, particularly on her feet and legs.  Her mammary system is well supported all the way around and milks down extremely well.  A&W has continued to improve as she has matured, and with triplets this year, finally deepened out and gained the body she needed.  She has not disappointed us in the show ring this summer, consistently holding her own in very strong Midwestern Alpine competition.   In her first show she was 2 x Best doe in Show at the Janesville Spring show.  At the 2016 National show, she placed 7th in the 5-6 year old class.  In 2015, She placed 2nd/1st Udder Age doe at the 2015 Iowa State Fair and 1st/1st udder Age doe at the 2015 Minnesota State Fair. We love her yearling milking daughter by Assassin this year as well as her doe kid by Marran Rose’s Rememberance. A&W will be bred to Manny this fall.

Xercise is a striking doe. Her elegant frame is complimented by a fancy mammary, a definite throwback to Hoach’s Revolution, a buck well-known for his consistency with strong udders. In 2015, she was GCH and BOB Alpine at the very competitive Minnesota State Fair in 2015. Xercise freshened in April just 8 months following her July 2015 freshening with a single buck, consequently her production is down this year. However, she is in great condition and we have decided to retain her son by Remembrance. Xercise will be bred to AI to Roeburn’s KVLS Samurai this fall with a back up of Manny.

Siri is our largest Alpine  by far. Her long, upstanding profile is complimented by an attractive, well attached mammary system.  We also love her sharp, clean front end.   Siri freshened triplets in 2016 and her doe kid, Siren, by Remembrance will be retained. Finally getting back to a National show this year, Siri, did not disappoint us with a 6th place finish in a very competitive 4 year old class that both the GCH and RCH came out of.  In 2015, Siri finished her Championship in strong fashion winning GCH Alpine at the 2015 Iowa State Fair and two weeks later was reserve champion to herdmate Xercise at the 2015 MN State Fair. Siri will be bred to Argento (Ajuja x Pleasant Grove Zen Wingding) this fall.

Arugula is a striking golden chamoisee and we were thrilled with her performance at the 2014 National Show.  Her mammary system is very fancy and she has a beautiful front end and a correct, level topline.  She is our last Aware daughter, and has definitely lived up to her genetic potential.  She was named All-American milking yearling in 2014.  She ended 2015 with an exciting win of Best Udder in Show at the Minnesota State Fair with over 300+ senior does!  In 2016, though freshening with just a single kid and no milk, she has managed to appraise 91 and place 5th with 3rd udder in a competitive 3 yr old class at the 2016 National show.  We hope to repeat her breeding to Pleasant Grove Zen Wingding (AI), which produced our 1st place milking yearling at the 2016 National Show, Akebono. Her back up natural breeding will be to Argento.

Avila has matured nicely this year and has stood in the front or top 3 three does in every show of the 2016 season. Avila placed 2nd over more than 20 does at the MN State Fair in 2016 and earned her second CH leg at the competitive Bluff Country Show in September, She has been milking 11-12 lbs in her first three tests and we were very pleased with her appraisal score. Like, her dam,  she has taken some time to mature, but is deepening out nicely as a two year old and we can’t wait to see her as a 3 year old.  Avila has been bred to Manny for early March kids.

Akebono has freshened with her mother’s beautiful mammary system, strength, width, and level topline.  She has improved feet and legs and shows lovely balance for a yearling. After an extremely rough kidding, she bounced back and delighted us with our first milking class win at a National show in the very competitive Alpine breed.  We hope to repeat this cross this fall as we would gladly take many more of her in our barn.  Akebono has been bred to Manny for early March kids.

We lost Arya unexpectedly when she became ill at home as we were away at the National show.  After a rough kidding this May, Arya had trouble boucing back, and though our vet tried all he could, we lost her the day after we arrived home.  It was a huge loss, as we felt Arya was one of our most correct does, with a lovely mammary.   Thankfully, we did retain her son and daughter by Assassin.   We also have her last daughter, heavily lined bred on her, out of Art Thief as she cycled right after we returned our leased 2015 herd sire. Her last daughter, Arya’s Ahncore, is extremely correct, wide, and level as her dam was.

Xtravagant is a powerful, elegant, and long-bodied doe with an attractive mammary system. She has been one of our best milkers, with tests over 16 lbs this Spring.  In 2016, she appraised 90 and earned 2 milking legs.  We were pleased with her 5th place win in a highly competitive Milking Yearling class at the 2014 National Show.  We love her AI daughter, by Kickapoo Valley Gold Challenge this year.  In a need to downsize, Xtravagant has been sold to a wonderful herd that participates in LA, DHIA, and showing, where she will be valued for her milk, genetics and style.  She is a hard one to let go, but we are very happy to be retaining her stylish doe kid this year.

Aryanna freshened a well attached mammary system, particularly wide rear udder and has an extremely correct set of feet of legs. . We were very pleased with her placing at the National Show.  In late September, Aryanna went off feed and 24 hours later we lost her to what was found to be an intestinal blockage and twisted small intestine.  The vet said there was nothing to do.  It was a heartbreaking loss of such a young doe with so much potential.  Though she had given us twin bucks and we have no offspring, we are still very happy to own her twin brother in our herd.  We plan to have him collected in November, with semen likely available next year.
