2010 Junior Does Alpines
Kara-Kahl Ember Asha Kara-Kahl Ember Aanyx We are very excited about these twin does out of Aware. The are tall, angular, and elegant young does. At this stage in their development, they are also exhibiting a bit more correctness in their feet and legs and front end assemblies than their 3/4 sister Absinthe. Asha has been bred to our Junior Herd Sire, Kara Kahl Americus. Aanyx will be bred to Kara Kahl Ajax.
Kara-Kahl Amen's A & W A&W is a promising young doe kid born in mid-May.She is similar in profile and coloring to Awakening with a slightly more correct set to her rear legs. She also exhibits a lot of width in the rear. We may keep A & W dry or breed her to Kara Kahl Ajax in December. Toggenburgs Legendairy Dandie Rhue
(2010 picture) Rhue was the 6th place Senior yearling at the 2010 National Show and 1st place Senior Yearling at the 2010 Minnesota State Fair. We love how correct she is, being extremely wide in the rear, smoothly blended in the front end, and level across the topline. She is also very open-ribbed. Rhue is quite similar in type to her dam, Rhone,
was bred this fall to *B Poplar-Hill Rhapper Magical and had twin bucks. Her
mammary system is very well supported and very similar to that of her dam,
Rhone. Legendairy Diamond Wailea Wailea is a dairy, elegant young doe. She placed 5th in the Senior Kid class at the 2010 National Show and 2nd in the Senior Kid class at the 2010 Minnesota State Fair. Wailea earned a dry leg at the final show of the season, the Bluff Country Show. Wailea retains Waha's correctness in general appearance, but excels a bit more in dairy character, being more open-ribbed and flatter boned throughout. Wailea may be kept dry this next year. Legendairy Salute's Priscilla
(2010 pictures) Legendairy Salute's Priya Priya and Priscilla are probably our most exciting Toggenburg doe kids this year. They both exhibit similar body styles to their mother, Promise, but are a bit more correct in their feet and legs, exhibiting stronger rear pasterns and a more correct set to their rear legs. Salute's Type and PTA scores are outstanding and he has sired multiple champion offspring in herds across the county. Priya was the 4th place Senior Kid at the 2010 Minnesota State Fair.
Both does were bred to Paramount Rational Choice this fall and both have kidded.
Priya had a single buck and Priscilla had a buck and a doe. Both does have well
supported mammary systems and are milking well as yearlings. Legendairy Diamond Rio YS Appraisal V (V Ec V) 2010 Rio is also similar in type to her dam, Rhumba, with added dairyness, openness, and legginess. She has freshened with a promising, well-attached mammary system. |
