Toggenburg Senior Does

 GCH (pending) Legendairy Rhiptide Rhichochet

Sire:  *B Legendairy RHM Rhiptide
Dam:  SGCH Legendairy Chip’s Rhubiayat

Rhichochet is big, dairy, and refined, favoring her dam, Rhubiayat.  Because she finished in 2021, Rhicochet did not get out to as many shows in 2022, but she did win her class at the 2022 MN State Fair.  In 2023, she has ben shown twice, both times Best of Breed, including topping the Toggenburg Breed at the Minnesota State Fair! Rhichochet was our highest appraising doe in 2023 at 92 EEEE.

Rhupee at the 2022 Iowa Club Show

GCH (pending) Legendairy EH Rhupee

Eder’s Hansel X GCH (pending) Legendairy Rhiptide Rhichochet

Rhupee is so correct, and has some of the strongest feet and legs in the barn.  She finished her championship this year at the age of 2, even after freshening with a single buck kid.  We really liked the looks of that buck kid, and so she has been bred to Rhafe once again in the hopes of getting at least one doe kid for us to keep!   She was the 4th place milking yearling at Nationals.

Rhamona in May of 2023

GCH (pending) Legendairy Rhiptide Rhamona

*B Legendairy RHM Rhiptide x SGCH Legendairy Chip’s Rhubiayat

Rhamona is a very special young doe, reminding us so much of her dam, Rhubiayat and her full sister, GCH Legendairy Rhiptide Rhicochet.  She is tall and refined with a lot of strength to her frame.  She seems to get overshadowed by her herdmates, Rhelish & Rhupee, but she did garner a Reserve Senior Champion win under judge Bob Bartholomew at the Iowa Club Show in stiff Togg competition.  Rhamona finished her championship this Spring at her first couple of shows.  She appraised 91 in June and was the 1st place 3 year old at the 2023 Minnesota State Fair.  Rhamona freshened with quads this Spring and should easily surpass 3000 lbs as she has been milking very well all year.

Roche Goats Tonks

*B Hidden Meadows Crown Royal x AV Glacier View AKCA Fancy

Tonks was a surprise addition to the herd in October.  She was consigned to the WDGA Elite Sale by the Roche Family.  Tonks caught Anna’s eye at the sale with size, strength of frame, and strong general appearance.  Her pedigree is an interesting blend of genetics and type.  Tonks freshened with a beautiful attached mammary system.  She has been undefeated in the yearling milking class across 8 times shown, including the MN State Fair where she was also name Reserve Sr. Champion.

Rhelish at the 2022 MN State Fair

GCH (pending) Legendairy EH Rhelish

EDER’S HANSEL X SGCH LEGENDAIRY CHIP’S RHAFFIA

Rhelish combines great productivity with lovely general appearance and dairyiness.  She demonstrates much of the same width and power found in both her dam Rhaffia and granddam SGCH Paramount Star Rhapsody.  She a endured a lengthy recovery from kidding with triplet does last spring, but by late summer she looked beautiful.  A highlight in 2022 was her Grand Champion and BOB win at the Minnesota State Fair, and she subsequently finished her championship at the Bluff Country Show.  Rhelish is so productive and we feel she needs a year off from kidding to build some body.  So, was milked through for 2023.  Rhelish has moved to become a California Girl in July and now resides with the Bearly Herd.

Rhuthie in May of 2023

Legendairy Wrevenge Rhuthie

++*B Dairy Delight Pharoh Wrevenge x SGCH Legendairy Chip’s Rhaffia

Rhuthie is the product of a carefully thought out AI, and she is a fun goat!  She has a high, wide rear udder and well supported fore udder.  Rhuthie is open and angular with a lovely dairy profile.  She placed 1st several times throughout the 2022 show season and is milking well into her 2nd lactation.  We have retained Rhuthie’s twin, Rhafe, who appraised 90 this Spring.  Rhuthie has moved to Wisconsin to Jason and Heidi Benson’s herd.

Rhaffia most definitely has the strong, tall frame of her dam Rhapsody and her maternal sister, GCH Legendairy Sausy Rhomance (See Reference Does).  Her size and scale is matched by outstanding production.  She was the 4th place 2-year old at the 2018 National Show and the 4th place milking yearling at the 2017 National Show.   At the 2019 Minnesota State Fair, she stood second to Rhubiayat in the Champion Challenge class.  Rhaffia’s son by *B Dairy-Delight Pharoh Wrevenge, *B Legendairy Rhaffia’s Rhafe is our senior herd sire. Her daughter Rhelish is one of our most promising young does and went Grand Champion at the 2022 MN State Fair.  Her daughter by Wrevenge, Legendairy Wrevenge Rhuthie is an exciting yearling/coming 2-year old.  Rhaffia now belongs to our good friend Beverly Nohr of Paramount Toggenburgs/Charis Manor Saanens.

Rhodanthe is a more moderately sized Togg, but extremely well balanced.  She capped off her 2021 show season by going Best of Breed at the Minnesota State Fair. Rhodanthe was the 3rd/3rd udder 2-year old at the 2018 national show and the 1st place 2-year old at the 2018 Iowa State Fair in a large, competitive class.  Rhodanthe is now owned by our good friends Ashley and Kyle Scheel.

Rhubiayat was an incredible doe and a favorite of everyone in the family.  Her loss in the spring of 2021 was devastating, but we are happy to have daughters still with us in the herd, and, no doubt, her genetic impact will live on.  In June of 2018, Rhubiayat was named the 2018 Toggenburg National Champion, and she earned the Total Performer award for the second year in a row.

Rhumba was simply a very special doe.  Her Reserve Best Udder win at the 2011 National Show in addition to her three Best in Show wins at the Minnesota State Fair were incredibly memorable moments for our family.  Another significant achievement is her son owned by Redbird Acres, *B Legendairy Rhumba’s Rhett being named the 2010 Premier Toggenburg Sire at the National Show.  We only took Rhumba out to one show in 2014, the Minnesota State Fair, where, as a 9-year old, she was Best of Breed and Best Senior Doe in Show for the third time.

After not kidding for 4 years, Rhumba surprised us in May of 2018 with buck/doe twins sired by her grandson, *B Legendairy RR Rough Rider. Rhumba’s legacy will endure.

Age Progression Series for Rhumba from Top Left, Yearling to 9.

GCH Legendairy Sausy Rhomance and SGCH Paramount Star Rhapsody

2nd Place Dam/Daughter, 2014 National Show

Rhapsody and Rhomance were quite a pair.  They were both large purebred does that exuded strength, style, and correctness.  Rhapsody went many times Best of Breed and Best in Show.  She was the 1st place 5-6 year old at the 2014 National Show and a member of the first place senior get of sire, ++*B Marshland Regal/J Starbuck at the 2013 National Show.  Rhomance was the 3rd Place 3 year old at the 2014 National Show and a multiple Best of Breed winner at the Minnesota State Fair.  Both does had permanent scores of EX 92 (EEEE).
